If you have a thermometer you can put it into the air stream and measure your furnace's exit temp. I assume you have good flow from the hot side to your humidifier? Usually there's a flap to close off the bypass to the humidifier in the summer, so make sure that's open. If only your furnace fan is running the unit should not turn on.

This ensures the efficient use of water. If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy. Looks like there's custom settings for the humidisense feature, so you may have to play with that. This is easily done by changing the dip switch located on the lower side of the control housing see below positions, using a small screw driver.

Did you happen to get this fixed? My blow dryer turns the green light water on. From what I gather my high efficiency furnace does to cause a fast enough temperature rise to trigger the sensor. Thanks for reply. I already had the solenoid replaced since the first one spewed water everywhere.
