Puch bmx serial numbers

The only thing that confuses me is that I remember no twin top tube Puch models in the early 80's. Thanks guys for the feed back, I've been looking at the Torker's and it does look so similiar, when its restored you shall see it in the museum in the Puch section I'll also give it a heads up to Torker too.

Thanks again all the way from the UK. I think I'm gonna debadge it and get some some Torker de cal for it, It having its OA bath tomorrow but it think the forks are past it lost to much chrome plating so i might spray them white or Blue?? Any ideas From what I can see in the pic of the forks, I think it may turn out better than you think.

Go ahead and oa bath the forks and see how it goes. I think you'll be surprised how good it turns out. What is odd is one thing you pointed out, a rivited on headbadge. Two though , note the two sets of serial numbers? One appears under the welded chainstays.

Did Torker stamp their serial numbers on the X on the BB? Perhaps so, but what about the two sets of serial numbers? I wouldnt be so quick to relabel this a Torker. It must have been referring to the Puch Challenger MX. This is a Press release for the Puch Magnum. It states the bike was mild steel frame. It had however some great top of the line parts on it.

Had this been a Tri Moly frame it may have been a hit at the track. It even had the a looptail design. This Puch Man advertisement is obviously a very cool play on the popular Pac Man game.

It is from and shows they are still promoting the Trak Pro model. Challenger MX — ? TRK-1 — , Saw this one on eBay. Was reportedly made by Murray.

Had single hole in gusset. Pressed dropoouts. This advertisement shows them promoting the Challenger model. This bike clearly was before and after the release of the Trak Pro. The Trak Pro was aimed as a high end racer. The Challenger as a entry level racer or street thrasher. This shows the Puch Trak Pro came out in the summer of Perhaps as early as Spring.

If you own a Puch please contribute to the list. Hi will and double dragon, if you look on Facebook. You are commenting using your WordPress.
